Dec. 6, 2011: Christmas Tea
ladies of the parish gathered with friends and family for a concert in the church followed by tea and conversation in Msgr. Carey Hall.
Dec. 4, 2011: Parishioners Reggie & Joe Yurko receive Immaculata Award
Bishop Cunningham awarded the Immaculata Medallion to Reggie & Joe Yurko, in honor of their years of dedicated service to St. Ambrose Church, during a special service at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Syracuse.
Nov. 20, 2011: Interfaith Prayer Service for Healing & Thanksgiving After the Flood
The Rev. Sue Davis, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Endicott, and The Very Rev. John Martinichio, pastor of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, joined Father Don and Deacon Tom in leading members of the Endicott community affected by the flood through the service. Refreshments followed in Msgr. Carey Hall.
Oct. 2, 2011: Blessing of the Animals
Parishioners brought their pets to the church parking for the annual Blessing of the Animals in honor of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi.
August 14, 2011: Parish Picnic
A rainy forecast didn't dim the enthusiasm of parishioners who gathered in St. Ambrose School for our annual picnic. Hot dogs and hamburgers were served up by volunteers and there were many delicious side dishes and desserts provided by parishioners. Everyone also was treated to a sundae bar faturing Pat Mitchell's ice cream. Music was provided by The Accords.
June 12, 2011: Confirmation
Bishop Robert Cunningham celebrated the confirmation Mass. The concelebrants wereFather Currie, Father Bourgeois and Father Clarence Cerwonka. He was assisted by Deacon Tom Picciano and the master of ceremonies was Father Joseph Scardella. Bishop Cunningham conferred the sacrament of confirmation upon 17 candidates. Dakota Angevine, John Bedosky, Kellie Daino, Maria DeRosa, Amy Gonzales, Kayla Koch, Anna Kuchera, Casey Lee, Janelle Ligi, Delanie Madison, Sean McMahon, Emily McNierney, Travis O'Neil, Shannon Sweeney and William Veruto—and two adults—Richard Loparco and James Ros.
May 24, 2011: Ambrosian Café Memorial Day celebration
More than 50 parishioners attended an all-star tribute to our veterans and a fascinating talk given by Marilyn Hanafin on what life in Endicott during World War II was like. Café members also collected goods to be sent to parishioner Zachary Reardon's Marine unit in Afghanistan.
April 23, 2011: Easter Vigil
The candlelight vigil Mass included the baptisms of three parishioners and the rite of acceptance for one. All four received their First Eucharist and made their Confirmations, also.
March 29, 2011: Ambrosian Café gardening-themed luncheon
Pete Shafer from Nanticoke Gardens gave a fun presentation on how they prepare plants for sale in the spring, even teaching all the proper way to transplant seedlings.
Feb. 22, 2011: Ambrosian Café Mardi Gras celebration
The café took on a Louisiana flavor with a hearty gumbo meal, Mardi Gras parade led by Rex (Fr. Don) and fun bead competitions with Court Jester, Al Fusco.
Dec. 15, 2010: Soup Kitchen Christmas Dinner
Parish youth and members of the Junior Girl Scout Troop 684 from Vestal served the guests.

Msgr. Carey Hall was transformed into a winter wonderland for the ladies of the parish and their friends.
Dec. 5, 2010: Parish Pasta Dinner
Parish staff cooked and served a delicious penne pasta dinner to our parishioners.

Parish youth assembled Thanksgiving baskets for the needy.
Nov. 7, 2010: Whole Community Faith Formation event
Parishioners of all ages gathered to learn more about their faith in a day that included Mass together, classes, a fun activity and a pot luck dinner.
Oct. 19, 2010: Ambrosian Café Oktoberfest
Our monthly cafe had a European flair with an Oktoberfest menu—bratwurst cooked in beer, pierogies and cabbage cooked with apples—and music by the accordion duo The Accords.
Oct. 3, 2010: Blessing of the Animals
In celebration of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, Fr. Don and Deacon Tom blessed more than 20 pets of parishioners at a ceremony in the church parking lot.
Sept. 28, 2010: Volunteer Appreciation Dinner
About 150 volunteers gathered at En-Joie Golf Club for a dinner under the pavilion in their honor.
July 2010: Vacation Bible School
Parish youth met for four nights in July to participate in fun activities exploring the Catholic faith.
June 29, 2010: Ambrosian Café ~ All-American Picnic
Parishioners gathered at Glendale Park for an afternoon of good food, conversation and games.
June 5, 2010: Fr. Don's 25th Anniversary ~ Mass & Luncheon
Family, coworkers and friends gathered at St. Ambrose Church to celebrate Fr. Don's jubilee for the priesthood. A reception followed at Brothers Two in Endwell.
May 25, 2010: Ambrosian Café ~ Garden theme
Brian Aukema from Cornell Cooperative Extension discussed the many, varied gardens at Cutler Botanic Garden. The menu was breakfast for lunchtime
May 12, 2010: Mother Teresa's Cupboard & Catholic Charities honor Fr. Currie
Mary Roma, director of Mother Teresa's Cupboard, presented Fr. Currie with a certificate showing that both Mother Teresa's Cupboard and Catholic Charities sponsored the restoration of the Bishop's Crosier & Mitre stained glass window in his honor "with gratitude" for all he has done for them.
April 25, 2010: Welcome Breakfast
New parishioners were treated to a breakfast in their honor in the school cafeteria and learned some important information about St. Ambrose.
April 3, 2010: RCIA graduates receive sacraments
At the Easter vigil, RCIA candidates Hall Groat II and Patty Patterson received sacraments. Patty was baptised and Hall was received into the church. Both received First Communion and made their Confirmation, also.
April 27, 2010: Ambrosian Café
Fifty parishioners gathered for high tea in Msgr. Carey Hall. There was a contest for the best hats and outfits worn.
March 30, 2010: Basically Bach Ensemble Spring Concert
The public and parishioners were treated to a wonderful concert featuring W.A. Mozart's "Litaniae de venerabili altaris Sacramento" KV125 and J.S. Bach's "Erschallet, ir Lieder" BWV172. Soloists included Mary Hill, Therese Gallo, Hilerie Klein-Rensi, James Gleason and Randolph Messing. The ensemble was conducted by Fitzroy Stewart. This performances was funded, in part, by a project grant from the United Cultural Fund, a program of the Broome County Arts Council.
